Regional and local governments in Switzerland are collaborating to decarbonize a major industrial area with high energy demand. The zone hosts multiple factories and commercial buildings consuming over 8 GWh of electricity and 7 GWh of heat annually. The initiative aims to create an integrated, low-carbon energy system that serves as a national lighthouse project for industrial transformation.
The project required an integrated energy concept capable of connecting various consumers and energy sources while maintaining reliability and cost efficiency. It also needed to balance technical feasibility with regulatory compliance and stakeholder alignment across public and private entities.
Green Energy Venture supported the project from concept development to implementation planning, providing:
The project delivered a comprehensive master energy plan with actionable steps toward decarbonization. It demonstrates how coordinated planning and cross-sector collaboration can accelerate the transition to sustainable, interconnected industrial energy systems in Switzerland.
