The second edition of the Sector Coupling Whitepaper 2026 was officially presented on 17 September 2026 in Bern, together with energie-cluster.ch.
Building on the 2025 publication, this year’s edition focuses on how sector coupling is progressing from individual pioneering projects towards solutions with broader application. It presents new practical examples alongside cross-cutting topics and reflects the experience gained across different technologies, sectors and implementation environments.
Developed with contributions from companies, research institutions and other partners, the 2026 edition provides an updated view of sector coupling in practice and the developments shaping its next stage in Switzerland.
